Curious, he goes to investigate and embarks on a journey to meet Santa Clause. But of course there is always trouble. The central song is ‘Walking in the Air’ but apart from that, the movie has no sound. It was released for television in 1982.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The plot of this story is about the King of Halloween Town (Jack), who takes a walk in the woods, but stumbles into a clearing with doors in the trees that lead to different holidays. He enters Christmas town, and is awed by their traditions and inspired to make it the same in his own reality, by taking the most logical route possible and abducting the ruler of their town, who is of course Santa Clause. The director is Tim Burton and was first shown in 1993.

Elf

Elf is a movie released in 2003. It is a film centred around the main character called Buddy, who was adopted and raised by elves. When the nasty shock comes and he finds out he is human, he sets off to New York to find his father, leaving the North Pole behind him. However, his father was unaware of his existence and Buddy finds out that his mother had unfortunately died. He falls in love with a woman called Jovie, but his father who had recently failed to have his books sold, is in a meeting until Buddy bursts in obviously excited. His father is absolutely furious, and makes it clear that he would choose his work over his son through a series of shouts. Buddy walks away, heartbroken and finds Santa’s sleigh is broken, he helps it get back up in the sky, and his dad finds him and apologises, convinced by Buddy’s step-brother.
