Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the first ever Harry Potter book made by JK Rowling.
This book is a fantasy about a boy who managed to survive a dark wizard - Voldemort - as a baby. He then started his journey at Hogwarts and made lots of new friends on the way.
What were the strongest parts of the book?
The strongest part about the book is when Harry made new friends and when he got sorted into his Hogwarts house! The other strongest part was when Hagrid left Harry to find 9¾ even though Harry didn't know anything to do with magic, it fitted into the storyline perfectly!
What were the weakest parts of the book?
The part that wasn't the strongest - in my opinion - was when Draco Malfoy first met Harry Potter, they were in Diagon Alley shopping for school supplies. Also the weakest part that felt like it didn't really fit in was when the Dursleys - Harry Potter's remaining family members - moved to a shack in the middle of the sea because so many Hogwarts letters were bombarding the house!
Who were my favourite characters?
I think Hermione Granger was one of the best characters as she is one of the smartest students and she is a mudblood: a witch/wizard that is from an all normal family which portrays her personality!
I also think that Dumbledore was one of the best characters because he is the headmaster and the main plot of Harry Potter would not be complete without him!
Would I recommend Harry Potter?
I would absolutely recommend Harry Potter, especially to anyone over the age of 8! Overall it's an amazing book that anyone can easily like and fall in love with!
