Beware, this recap contains spoilers.
1) The Foundling
One definite reason is The Foundling (a.k.a The Child a.k.a Baby Yoda.) After it is named as a Foundling (another word the Mandalorians use instead of ‘child’) and is seen as the adopted child of Djarin (The Mandalorian). I am intrigued to see what happens to the Child and if we get some, if any, insight into the name of it’s species.
2) The Darksaber
At the end of the final episode of Series one of The Mandalorian we were treated to a rather unexpected plot twist which entailed Imperial Moff Gideon cutting his way out of his crashed TIE fighter using none other than the famous Mandalorian weapon the Darksaber! How and where he got it is yet to be explained but I’m sure it will be explained in the upcoming series.
3) Sabine Wren
One of the standouts of the Star Wars Rebels series, Sabine Wren is a fellow Mandalorian, who once was a wielder of the Darksaber. She was part of a crew consisting of Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Zaragreb Orrelius and Chopper (the droid). How she survived the entire war is not a mystery but how she doesn’t look a day older than the series is unknown. Best hope she bonds well with our Mando otherwise it could get nasty; as under her pink and orange mask is WWE star Sasha Banks.
4) Ahsoka Tano
At the end of Star Wars Rebels, Sabine Wren was travelling with Jedi Ahsoka Tano. It has been confirmed that she will be in the series, but whether the rumors about her mentoring Baby Yoda is true or not is unknown. All things considered her finally getting a stint as a live-action character has been a long time coming.
5) Locations
The latest and only trailer depicts locations like Hoth and Tatooine. This is a great sign as this could mean looking deeper into some unsolved mysteries from The Original Series. As well as that it would be amazing to see what the remains of the Galactic Civil War will be like.
