This year saw Felixstowe School's first ever summer Sportathon, and what a Sportathon it was. We had over 60 students taking part in everything sport with the PE department from 8.00am on Friday till 8.00am on Saturday - as a result of the incredible effort of students and staff, we managed to raise over £4,000 for various charities.
This event is one of the most anticipated of the year, but without a doubt is also the most challenging both physically and mentally. Everyone who took part should be immensely proud of themselves. The highlights this year have to be the water balloon gauntlet, kin ball and hide and seek in the school at 3.00am in the morning.
There were both some great individual and team performances on show during the 24 hour marathon of sport, and it was great to see so many students rewarded for their efforts at the end of the day. Everyone did such a great job.
We look forward to our Sportathon next year.
